Throughout the year Leadership Troy sponsors Public Forums on topical issues. On May 28, 2008 at the Troy Community Center in Room 304, a Public Forum on Arts in Troy was held. A qualified panel discussed current and planned programs to bring more Art awareness to the citizens of Troy and surrounding communities. Information presented by the panel of experts included:
- Keynote Speaker Bob Schultz, City of Troy Planning Commission Chairman, with information about what other cities have done to promote the Arts and what is being discussed for Troy
- Panelist Linda Shears, Image and Arts Council of Troy Chairperson, discussed the recently reconstituted Image and Arts Council and how to become active in their efforts
- Panelist Maria Hunciag, Troy Public Library Cultural Arts Program Coordinator, told about the Art exhibits program at the Troy Library and how Art fits into the plans for trails and pathways in Troy.
- Panelist Cheryl Whitton, Troy Trails and Pathway Committee, discussed plans for creating trails and pathways for citizens to use in Troy and potential art to be displayed.
