Leadership Troy presents a Public Forum on Programs that work for Vulnerable Youth
Throughout the year Leadership Troy sponsors Public Forums on topical issues. On April 28, 2009 at the Troy Community Center in Room 302, a Public Forum on Programs that work for Vulnerable Youth was held. The purpose of the Forum was to update, inform and to provide a qualified panel to discuss and answer questions from the community about various aspects of programs benfitting Vulnerable Youth.
A panel of experts has been assembled and includes:
- Steve Toth, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Club of Troy
- Debbie MacDonald, Supervisor, Niles High School
- Cheryl Whitton, President, North Woodward Community Foundation and Blessings in a Backpack Stering Committee
- Gail Yax, Troy High School Peer Mediation and Hadi Elmoursi and Alli Murphy, Student Mediators
- Paul Scobie, Troy Youth Assistance

“Leadership Troy is very excited about hosting a Public Forum that brings people up to date on the many programs that are helping Troy youth cope with today's world,” said Leadership Troy President Jim Cyrulewski. “Attendees learned firsthand about the many opportunites in Troy and surrounding areas that are helping the youth of today get ready for tomorrow challenges."
