With that in mind, Leadership Troy has gathered a prestigious panel to present “what’s new in technology” on February 18, 2009, at the Troy Community Center , Room 302, at 6:30 PM. All five of the panelists are experts in their field and will be available for questions.
The list of panelists and topics to be covered is as follows:
Philip Kwik – Head of the Technology Department at the Troy Public Library: How people can use the Library of today and the vision of how technology will change the way people will use the library of the future.
Mike Souden – Supervisor, REMC Director, Oakland Intermdiate Schoool District: Making people aware of how technology is making Distance Learning possible.
Bob Treharne – SeniorNet Program, City of Troy: Making people aware of City programs that are available to help people use computers.
Liz Kobylak - Hearing Impaired Program Facilitator, City of Troy: Making people aware of how technology is used to help hearing impaired people function better at gatherings and meetings.
Brian Crabtree – Vice President, Fifth Third Bank: Making people aware of how technology can be used to perform remote banking.
